The PPUC processes all motor carrier insurance filings for the state. As a result when insurance companies establish policies with motor carriers, specific information about those policies must be provided to the state.

As well as making this easier, the PPUC says the new electronic solution will give insurers the ability to submit filings in multiple states through a single website. The automated service processes filings immediately and delivers an automated e-mail notification when a state takes action on a filing. To help with recordkeeping, insurers also have the ability to access an electronic history of all filings submitted through the system.
