Oracle stated that based upon Pella’s history of success with the Oracle e-business suite, Pella turned to it for help in creating an automated and integrated platform to streamline its planning and logistics practices.
The Transportation Management 5.5 helps Pella to optimize the flow of incoming products from its manufacturing facilities and synchronize this freight with outgoing loads to minimize freight handling to help protect products during shipping. Additionally, Oracle transportation operational planning, a capability within Oracle Transportation Management 5.5, allows Pella to apply specific business rules and logic to optimize its shipments.
