Pegasystems, a provider of business process management software offerings, has unveiled its new SmartPaaS Instance Manager and Instant Edition cloud-based offerings.
According to Pegasystems, SmartPaaS Instance Manager automates the life cycle of requesting, approving, creating and tracking development and test environments for SmartBPM offerings. Customers, partners and BPM centres of Excellence (COE’s) can use the application to provision high performance environments on Amazon Web Services. It also includes a management console and reporting capability.
The company said that the SmartPaaS Instant Edition offers cloud environment to simplify the development lifecycle of BPM projects for teams working on projects from disparate geographies. The finished application is portable between the cloud and internal data centre environments.
SmartPaaS users can implement services 5x faster and at 1/5 the cost of traditional means and all services can function as an extension of the customers’ data centre, with protection against network attacks and data encryption technology that fulfills data privacy and security policy requirements, the company claims.

The company said that SmartPaaS architecture helps to integrate with existing back-end systems and identity management services and offers only partial functionality over the web. In addition, it provides the entire BPM development and test suite on the cloud.
