Pebble has added Text Reply for iOS to its Pebble Time lineup of smartwatches.
The company said following successful setup, notifications received from the Messages app will have the option to reply with voice or a list of pre-defined responses.
Pebble said its devices are the first non-Apple smartwatch to bring voice and text replies to iPhone users. The company is working to allow further carriers and services to offer actionable notifications for more users.
To access the feature, users should initially have a post-paid AT&T account. They should then update their Pebble Time iPhone app to version 3.4 or higher
After updating the iPhone app, users need to update their Pebble Time’s firmware to version 3.7 or higher.
From there, users should activate the actionable notifications option in their settings menu on the app.
Pebble has recently unveiled an IoT smartwatch device with a round face set to compete with Apple’s iWatch and Samsung’s Gear S2.
