IDC said HP put on 5.6% growth overall in the region, with 15% growth year on year for its notebook lines. Dell held on to second place, with Acer also holding its own in the market. IDC described Fujitsu Siemens as having another soft quarter, while it said Toshiba had another outstanding quarter thanks to improvements in its channel position.
This time last year the EMEA PC market surpassed expectations in the second quarter, expanding by more than 23% year-on-year.
