PayPal has extended its One Touch payments service to 13 new markets, making it available in a total of 16 countries.
The service has been launched in Australia, Turkey, and 11 European countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Eligible merchants in the markets will automatically have the service enabled, without the need for any integration.
The service allows users to pay for purchases on mobile and web services, without requiring to enter a username, password or payment data, as they are using the same device.
Users are required to have a PayPal account to check-out with One Touch.
The company noted that the service is already being used by millions of consumers the US, UK and Canada to make payments on desktops and through mobile apps.
PayPal senior vice-president Bill Ready told Reuters: "If consumers can’t check out in one touch or tap and instead have to do data entry on their mobile device they’re far less likely to complete the transaction.
"With One Touch, we’re bridging that gap and creating better buying experiences for consumers, which in turn means higher conversions for merchants."
