Norwich, Norfolk-based Paston Chase Ltd has a new software system for the VAX/VMS environment that measures and analyses response times to calls made either to or from terminal class drivers: IRIS, the Interactive Resource Information System, runs on a server that is responsible for the capture of data for terminals being monitored; the server creates a mailbox and whenever an IRIS command is entered, another function analyses the command and writes a message in the mailbox, and the server reads the message to determine which terminal it should be monitoring; the server comprises three elements, the first is in the system address space, the second writes recorded input-output to a file, and the third processes commands written to the mailbox; no price or delivery details given.
