California-based Vocent provides packaged products which use biometric voiceprint recognition technology to authenticate remote callers. The combined solution will apply a single real-time decision engine across all channels within PassMark’s existing platform. Jeff Scheel, CEO of Vocent, said that the integration will deliver comprehensive multi-channel authentication.
The acquisition will provide a true multi-channel authentication platform, securely identifying customers whether they are using the Internet or the phone, said Bill Harris, chairman of PassMark. With identity theft and electronic fraud on the rise, many companies are seeking a comprehensive system to protect themselves and their customers.
PassMark signed the agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Vocent for an undisclosed amount.
