And Parsys Ltd has announced a TRAM Integration Programme: TRAMs are a standard format for Transputer-based modules which can be mounted in various hosts, such as personal computers and Sun workstations; the integration programme, says Parsys’ Ian Coburn, is aimed at an increasing number of our customers who have been approaching us to develop a system for integrating TRAMs together into a single system in order to better use their investment – we’ve responded with a package that will, in effect, enable TRAM owners to build a Parsys SuperNode computer from their TRAMs; the integration kit, which includes a cabinet, power supply, backplanes and controller, along with motherboards for mounting the TRAMs, costs between UKP14,750 for up to 32 TRAMs and UKP22,800 up to 64.
