PARIBAS SA BUYS 22% STAKE IN MATRA COMMUNICATION SA

Paribas SA, already teamed with IBM France on a planned value added network service, has bought a 22% stake in the Matra Communication SA telephone handset manufacturer and mobile telephone operations subsidiary of Matra SA: value of the purchase was not given by the bank.
