Western Digital Corp has added the Paradise Super VGA Card to its line of Paradise graphics boards: the Irvine, California company says the new board supports resolutions as high as 1,024 by 768 in 16 colours and provides 80-column and 132-column text modes; it is user-upgradable from 512Kb to 1Mb and supports resolutions as high as 1,280 by 1,024 in 16 colours or 1,024 by 768 in 256 colours; the 512Kb version costs $150 and the company is also cutting the price of its Paradise Accelerator Card for Windows by 28.6% to $350; designed around the company’s WD90C31 graphics accelerator chip, the Paradise Accelerator Card delivers up to 15 times the performance of Super VGA products, the company says.
