PANDA PROJECT PREVIEWS 10.5″ DESKTOP SYSTEM

By CBR Staff Writer

The Panda Project Inc, a Boca Raton, Florida-based company best known for producing unusual Archistrat processor independent hardware servers using an arty, curved design, previewed a new 10.5 inch sized cube shape desktop system. The IO-A, or Iowa for pronunciation purposes, has on point mounting to free additional desk space, and like the Archistrat is both processor and operating system independent, although the displayed model was designed for Intel and DEC Alpha chips. Prices range from $1,000 to $12,000 depending on processor, memory and disk options. Processors are mounted in thermally enhanced cooling modules to boost performance.
