By CBR Staff Writer

Naperville, Illinois-based Palindrome Corp has announced Backup Director for the Workgroup, a server-based Network Loadable Module network back up software system for NetWare local networks based on Novell Inc’s SMS back-up interface. It claims compatibility with Hewlett-Packard Co’s Low Admin Backup for Servers architecture. The product is said to configure the server automatically and take care of routine back-up and administration. It is compatible with NetWare 3.1X and 4.X servers, supports NDS, NetWare Directory Services, binderies and extended file attributes, and writes data in SIDF media format. It will be out this month when pricing will be announced.
