Pageflex, a division of Bitstream (BITS), has launched Pageflex SaaS service that provides users with the tools and technology they need to expand their business by selling customised documents and items online.

Web-to-print technology provider Pageflex has created Pageflex SaaS to be a service that brings together all the resources and infrastructure customers need to launch Web document customisation sites for their own business or as part of their marketing organisation.

Users will have access to services, including online web catalogs; eCommerce capabilities; order approval workflows for business-to-business implementations; automatic email notifications; shipment to multiple addresses; and site skinning and localisation.

The new service will support multiple product types such as PDF files uploaded by end users to be printed, static documents that can be ordered, products available from inventory and customisable documents.

Pageflex SaaS offers two options for getting started in which users can choose the option that meets the needs of their business or department.

Firstly the Basic Option includes features that users need to launch a web-to-print site: one production end-user site and one administration site; one staging site that user can use to demonstrate their web-to-print capabilities or stage products in development; and purchase and setup of user’s domain and SSL certificate.

The Quick Start option includes everything in the Basic Option and also includes options for creating and configuring key products for a web-to-print site.
