Oracle Corp has teamed with Aldus Corp and PageAhead Software Corp to market and support a series of database publishing prod ucts that link Aldus PageMaker with the Oracle relational database, to be developed by PageAhead. The aim is to create professional-quality directories, catalogues and other data-intensive publications from the contents of the database. The soft ware products – the first due early next year – will enable non-program mers to create macros that can be run from inside PageMaker, telling the program how to retrieve Oracle data from database and automatically convert it into publishable form.
