Pacific Telesis Corp’s Pacific Bell unit in San Francisco plans to offer Integrated Services Digital Network coupled with its existing Centrex business communications service in three packages: the Centrex IS service divides a standard telephone line into as many as three digital channels, so that it can simultaneously carry speech, computer data and video; Feature Package A includes ISDN circuit-switched speech features and is $17.50 per line per month; Feature Package B adds more speech features and some packet-switched data features at $26 per line monthly; and Feature Package C adds circuit-switched data to the speech and packet-switched features on the D channel for $29.50 per line monthly – and the prices include basic Centrex.
