Pace hopes the adapter will be prove popular with the remaining 50% to 60% percent of households that have yet to make the switch. The adapter provides access to free-to-view digital channels such as BBC Four, CBeebies and ITV2 as well as digital versions of the five standard channels. The company also anticipates its device will find a market in existing digital homes as cheap way of converting multiple TV sets to digital.
