P-E International Plc has acquired the information technology training and consultancy divisions of Aims Systems Ltd. There will be an initial payment of UKP633,000 in cash, and a deferred consideration of up to UKP2.3m in shares and loan stock may be paid, depending on the performance and profitability of Aims over the next three years. In the year to August 31, Aims training and consultancy divisions achieved a turnover of UKP1.6m. Founders Tony Perks and Ian Thomas are to remain with the company, and David Blore, managing director of Egham, Surrey-based P-E, and the information technology director, Tony Hill, will join the board of Aims Systems Ltd. Aims is a training and consultancy company for Structured Systems Analysis and Design Methodology, and it was contracted by the government to perform development work on SSADM Version 4 in 1988, as well as being one of the first companies to obtain government approval for training in Prince, the Central Computer & Telecommunications Agency-approved project management methodology.
