P-Com Inc, Campbell, California-based developer of millimeter wave point-to-point radio systems for cellular and Personal Communications Services networks, has reached definitive agreement for two acquisitions. The first is Columbia Spectrum Management LP, for which P-Com will pay $22.5m – $8.0m in cash and $14.5m of P-Com shares. Columbia provides turnkey relocation services for microwave paths for Personal Communications Services and other emerging technologies. The other is Italian company Technosystems SpA and its operations in Poland, for which it will pay $3.3m cash. Technosystems manufactures equipment for transmitters and transponders for television and radio broadcasting, including audio and video modulators, converters, amplifiers, transponders, transmitters and microwave links.
