One of those hardy perennials of the takeover circuit, Office & Electronic Machines Plc, is blooming again: this time the City gossip is that Australian holder Overseas Strategic Investment may be suffering large losses Down Under and want to shed its 15.8% stake; the suggestion is that Hillsdown Holdings Plc, with just under 15%, might be prepared to disembarrass the Aussies of the shares, (there’s also Olivetti in there with about 10%); OEM added ninepence to 209p.
