Outbound Systems Inc, the Boulder, Colorado company that buys Mac motherboards OEM from Apple Computer Inc and builds them into laptops, has come out with the Outbound Outrigger, an intelligent self-configuring, 15 monochrome portrait display with an SCSI interface: it is primarily intended to give big-screen capabilities to owners of Outbound Notebook Systems and Macintosh PowerBooks, but also supports any Macintosh with an SCSI interface running System 6.0.7 or higher; it doesn’t need installation of a video interface card and is made operational by rebooting the computer; it has a 512Kb video memory 68000 processor running at 20MHz and the screen puts up 640 by 872 pixels; it sells for $950, now.
