Oregon-based OSDL’s latest paper, SCO: Without Fear and Without Research, is the third in a series of responses to SCO’s claims that its Unix System V code has been copied into Linux.

SCO has launched a $3 billion lawsuit against IBM [IBM], alleging breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets, and is also threatening to sue a business running Linux for copyright infringement.

The latest paper does not add much to the Linux licensing debate that has not already been said, but with SCO repeating its claims at will without having yet proven anything in a court of law; many of the comments will be of interest to Linux users concerned about their position.

OSDL is a non-profit group formed to accelerate the enterprise use of the Linux operating system.
