OREGON LANDS PRESTIGE PASCAL DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT FROM FUJITSU LTD

Oregon Software has also won a very valuable reference contract to develop a Pascal compiler under for Fujitsu Ltd, which wants to use use the customised Pascal F compiler back home in Tokyo to develop in-house networking software for its banking systems network, which is a mainframe-based system shared by several major Japanese financial firms. Although Fujitsu will own the compiler – which is set for completion in the second quarter of next year – it is expected to pay royalties on the software it develops. Code generators, Pascal libraries or other language tools resulting from the venture may be used in Oregon Software’s future product releases. Fujitsu is to foot the $750,000 development bill.
