Trading, market making and brokerage software provider Orc Software has released version 6.1 of its Orc Trader and Orc Liquidator products, with new features including connectivity to additional trading systems and enhancements for automated trading.

By CBR Staff Writer

Release highlights for version 6.1 include new volatility API and models, new market connections, transaction analytics & reporting, click trading enhancements and the enabling of high performance DMA to global markets.

The new functionality can be utilized across all asset classes and products (equities, FX, fixed income, commodities, cash, futures, options) and to over 100 markets that Orc directly connects to.

Orc version 6.1 responds to increased demand for advanced volatility management capabilities applied for quoting and risk. The Orc platform now provides an open API for the flexible integration of volatility models. Customers can choose to implement their own proprietary volatility models or utilize the models provided by the Orc system.

In addition, Orc has added four new direct market connections to ICE (commodities), EBS (foreign exchange), BrokerTec (fixed income) and Russian Trading Systems (equities).
