ORANGE UPGRADES ITS UK COMPUTER NETWORK WITH BAY ROUTERS

UK cellular phone operator Orange Plc has upgraded its national computer network and installed Bay Networks Inc’s Network Backbone Concentrator Node and Access Stack Node routers at its offices throughout the country. The installation of the routers mark completed connection of all of the company’s UK sites and the company says it has been able to improve network response time by reducing bandwidth contention which has lead to greater robustness across links.
