Orange increases its holding in Swedish 3G network

Orange announced that it has bought out its troubled partner, B2 Bredband Mobil in its 3G joint venture in Sweden. B2 Bredband Mobil is the wireless subsidiary set up by the Swedish broadband landline provider, Bredbandsbolaget to manage its 3G investment.

No financial details were forthcoming but what is clear is that as a result of the deal Orange will increase its holding from 51% to 85%.

Framfab also announced that has sold its 15% holding in B2 Bredband Mobil to Bredbandsbolaget, again for an undisclosed amount.

The other shareholders in Orange Sverige are Skanska (10%), NTL (3%) and Schibsted ASA (2%).
