Orange Business Services, a provider of network and information technology business services, said that it is acquiring Alsy, in a move to strengthen its position as a Microsoft communications offerings integrator in France.

France based Microsoft offerings integrator Alsy, has posted revenues of more than €14m in 2009 and has a staff of 140 employees.

Orange said that the acquisition will further enhance its offering in the full range of Microsoft technologies, by rounding out the agreement signed with Microsoft in 2009 to distribute standard Microsoft online services offer in 21 countries.

Orange Business Services SVP of integrated services Paul Molinier said that the acquisition of Alsy is part of the company’s strategy to develop its service activities around Microsoft offerings both in France and internationally.

"It also confirms our position as the leading player in the market for unified communications and collaborative applications. The excellent quality of the services offered by Alsy brings genuine added value to our offer," Molinier said.
