UK mobile operator Orange has unveiled a 7-inch tablet, Tahiti, which will roll out in stores this week.

The gadget will cost £69.99 on a £25 per month scheme with a 2-year data tarriff that includes 1GB of data to use round-the-clock and 1GB of off-peak data to use during day-time.

The device will be available free as part of a £41 per month bundle with an Orange-branded smartphone.

Andorid’s tablet OS version the Honeycomb is the platform for Tahiti’s features and functionalities, which are supported by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G, and a back camera of 5MP resolution.

This tablet comes in black or silver and weighs 390gms and can easily find a place in a handbag or even the back pocket.

Also, significantly, it is the first branded tablet of Orange.
