Oracle has unveiled Oracle Application Integration Architecture 2.4, delivering new Oracle AIA process integration packs for Oracle Transportation Management 6.0 to the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle’s Siebel CRM.
Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) provides a complete and open way for organizations to integrate business processes across a broad range of custom, Oracle or third-party applications, while gaining efficiencies, increasing competitive edge and lowering total cost of ownership.
According to Oracle, the latest AIA process integration packs (PIPs) utilize Oracle Transportation Management 6.0, a global transportation management system. Three of these new Oracle AIA PIPs utilize the Oracle E-Business Suite release 12.1, a latest version that enables organizations to drive better value across the enterprise and benefit from new, industry-specific capabilities.
Oracle AIA PIPs for Oracle Transportation Management deliver prebuilt integrations to the Oracle E-Business Suite and Siebel CRM, enabling logistic service providers, manufacturers, retailers and wholesale distributors to configure and deploy business processes and adapt to changing business requirements.
Jose Lazares, vice president of application development and product strategy for AIA at Oracle, said: Oracle Transportation Management and these cross line-of-business process flows is a great use case for Oracle AIA and Oracle AIA PIPs. With the combination of Oracle AIA and best-in-class products like Oracle Transportation Management, we are able to bring increased business value to the widest possible customer base.
