Oracle Corp is supposedly planning to add to its roster of on-demand software-as-a-service applications with products that will target functional areas of business like human resources, and others that will address the needs of specific vertical sectors such as insurance.
Reuters reported today that Oracle has briefed some industry analysts on its plans to expand its SaaS offerings, though nothing has been said about when the services will be turned on.
The Wall Street Journal has said the market can expect seven new online products, including on-demand HR software, and offerings to help business run sales campaigns.
The software vendor is also said to be developing online products aimed at the insurance industry.
Reuters also reports that Oracle plans to announce an expansion of its line of customer relationship management software to better compete with top software-as-a-service application Salesforce.com.
