Oracle Corp, Belmont, California is so impatient to get people writing applications to use its Oracle relational database on IBM’s Personal System/2 that it is offering the Oracle OS/2 Developer’s Kit, normally priced at $1,295, for just $200 until August 31; it includes the SQL*Forms forms-based application generator, the SQL*Calc 1-2-3-like spreadsheet with SQL access to Oracle databases; SQL*Plus for complex ad hoc queries; the SQL*Report multi-table report generator; and the Pro*C precompiler for the Lattice and Microsoft C compilers.
