Oracle has integrated its Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Process Integration Pack (PIP) for Value Chain Planning applications with its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

The company claimed that its AIA allows organisations to integrate end-to-end business processes across a broad range of custom, Oracle or third-party applications.

With this integration, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne customers are said to gain capabilities to enable practices in trade management, demand signal management, risk management, supply and distribution planning, demand management, advanced forecasting, sales and operations planning, inventory postponement, collaborative planning and corporate-wide planning performance management.

The company said that it will continue to support the existing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Supply Chain Planning applications, while enabling a gradual adoption of the modules from its Value Chain Planning applications.

Integration between JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and its Value Chain Planning applications delivers supply chain capabilities that include: Advanced Supply Chain Planning; Demantra that enables demand management and end-to-end trade management processes; Advanced Planning Command Centre; Inventory Optimisation; Strategic Network Optimisation; and Production Scheduling.

Lenley Hensarling, Oracle Group Vice President and General Manager, Oracle’s JD Edwards and Applications Unlimited, said: “Oracle Value Chain Planning offers a complete, integrated and modular solution that spans operational to strategic planning across all time horizons of the planning cycle. The Oracle AIA-based integration enables our customers to better sense demand, shape for profitability and quickly respond to supply chain events.”
