The company has integrated Oracle BPEL Process Manager and Oracle Web Services Manager in an effort to provide users with the means to implement end-to-end web services security and management within and across the firewall. Normally, users would be expected to buy the web services orchestration engine and security tools separately.
This is part of Oracle’s SOA initiative and its efforts to build a business process platform from which composite applications can be created, managed, and executed. It is a parallel move to SAP’s existing NetWeaver and proposed Business Process Platform developments.
