As of October 21, 19,664,836 shares had been tendered and not withdrawn, which is around 5% of the total. During the September to October timeframe tendered shares have fluctuated from around 3% to 7%.
Meanwhile, the European Commission said Friday that it planned to announce its decision on Tuesday. I will make a proposal (Tuesday) and will not elaborate on what it will be, said EU antitrust chief Mario Monti. The EC is expected to approve the proposal.
