Oracle Corp has come out with a new release of its products that are compliant with Intel Corp’s 80386 family Binary Compatibility Specification 2, iBCS2, designed for all 80386 and 80486 machines under Unix System V.3 and V.4. The line includes Oracle Version 6.0, its computer-aided software engineering products, proprietary language development tools, and Oracle Financials. The implementation of the Oracle database runs on both single processor systems and large multi-processor systems such as the Compaq Computer Corp SystemPro, Digital Equipment Corp’s ApplicationDEC 433MP, the Wyse Technology Series 7000i and Series 9000i, the NCR 3000 Series and Unisys Corp entry and mid-range kit. A single user database licence is $1,700; distribution on CD-ROM is set for 1992.
