ORACLE BUYS A UKP750.000 MACHINE FROM PYRAMID

Pyramid Technology has just pulled off its biggest single machine sale in the UK by supplying Oracle Corp here with one of its top end 9840 Unix minicomputers: Oracle has bought the UKP750,000 machine to run part of its internal management systems, and will use it to carry its licence database, accounts, and customer support, training and education systems; the 9840 is rated at 25 MIPS and includes 128Mb of memory, and 8Gb of disk storage.
