ORACLE ACQUIRES OILY APPLICATION FROM BP

To make its products more attractive to the lucrative oil and gas industries, Oracle Corp has bought a downstream oil processing application called ISP from British Petroleum which tracks the supply, distribution, sales and marketing and accounting of oil- production operations. Oracle will take on ISP development engineers and pay BP a royalty on copies of ISP sold.
