Oracle updates WebCenter application

The new release simplifies the creation, management and optimisation of interactive and social experiences

By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle has released Oracle WebCenter Sites, an enhancement to its web experience management application, Oracle WebCenter to help organisations transform the online experiences they can offer to their customers.

The new release simplifies the creation, management and optimisation of interactive and social experiences.

The new release will help organisations optimise customer engagement via web, mobile and social channels.

It also provides a new business-user web site authoring environment allowing a modern interface with tools and drag-and-drop capabilities.

In addition, the search functionality and visual search results will enable users to locate the content they wish to use, and place it into the context of the webpage, simplifying the authoring experience.

The new release of Oracle WebCenter Sites has integration with more than 20 social networks, enabling visitor authentication based on social network credentials to eliminate the barriers to site visitor registration and facilitate social interaction.

The social network integrations also provide social sharing capabilities that help organisations extend the reach of their brands and promote engagement.

New Oracle WebCenter Sites’ new user-generated content (UGC) capabilities will help marketers to create and deploy polls on their websites or add new ratings widgets such as Thumbs Up/Down, Like It or Recommend, and more, complementing an existing application in the product for UGC including comments, ratings, reviews, and blogs, all with enhanced enterprise moderation capabilities.
