Oracle to launch business-ready storage offerings at SNW Spring 2011

To align data growth with business-driven storage requirements

By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle will launch its business-ready storage offerings that enable customers to align data growth with business-driven storage requirements at SNW Spring 2011, California.

The new storage offerings suite includes fast Flash-based products, Fibre Channel arrays and Unified Storage, and highly-scalable tape automation offerings, said the company.

Oracle said that the new storage suite is engineered and integrated with its software, so that these products optimise performance, maximise data protection, and help reduce the cost of ownership for its Database 11g, Applications, and heterogeneous environments.

Oracle product marketing systems vice-president Cheryl Martin said Oracle storage innovations enable enterprise storage customers to solve increasingly complex business issues.

"At SNW, we’ll spotlight our broad portfolio of business-ready storage offerings and how Oracle optimises application performance and storage hardware for performance, efficiency and scale," Martin said.
