Oracle has introduced its Enterprise Manager 12c, an offering to combine management of the full Oracle stack with complete enterprise cloud lifecycle management.
Builtg on Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c business-driven IT management approach, the new offering enables better business-IT integration, said Oracle.
Oracle said IT organisations can increase efficiency and responsiveness while reducing costs and complexity for traditional data centres, virtualised, and cloud computing environments with the help of Enterprise Manager 12c.
Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c brings together management capabilities for the entire cloud lifecycle through Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, said the company. The new capabilities include consolidation and capacity planning, self-service, testing, monitoring, and metering and chargeback.
Oracle said its Enterprise Manager 12c introduces new virtualisation management and cloud resource management capabilities built on Oracle VM 3.0 and it also supports enterprise architects, cloud administrators, and governance and finance personnel.
The key capabilities of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c include: cloud planning tools; automatic set-up of shared pools and system resources; comprehensive metering and chargeback and built-in self- service.
Oracle said the new offering encompasses cloud management across physical and virtual environments for x86 as well as SPARC architectures and it continues to deliver automation capabilities for Oracle technologies.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c provides Oracle Fusion Applications management; enhanced Oracle Fusion Middleware management; advanced database self-management; immediate availability for Oracle Applications Unlimited support and a tight integration with Oracle engineered systems, claimed Oracle.
Oracle Product Development senior vice-president Richard Sarwal said customers are grappling with tremendous complexity in IT centres, a condition often exacerbated by custom deployments and integrations that make each system different and unique to manage.
