Oracle has integrated its PeopleSoft Enterprise Projects and Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM), to bring together project management apps and financial management offerings.

The new integrated offering enables customers to drive profitability, increase productivity and improve operations by delivering a comprehensive enterprise PPM offering for PeopleSoft ERP customers, said the company.

In addition, the financial management tools within PeopleSoft Projects combined with the time-based planning tools within Primavera P6 EPPM help organisations achieve the expected return on investment on projects by enabling them to be delivered on-time and on-budget.

The new integration also provides customers with an enterprise-class offering that can successfully handle resources and projects regardless of size, location or complexity.

Oracle said that together, Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management and PeopleSoft Projects provide the end-to-end visibility organisations need to improve project planning, execution and control for optimal project delivery.

Part of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise apps, PeopleSoft Projects enables project-centric organisations and departments to establish core operational processes that support full project lifecycle management across operations and finance.

Oracle PeopleSoft enterprise group vice-president and general manager Paco Aubrejuan said organisations need up-to-date, accurate, and unified information across both project and financial management applications to help deliver projects on-time and on-budget.

"By bringing together Oracle’s PeopleSoft Projects and Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, we are able to provide customers with the infrastructure they need to achieve a single source of truth on the projects they are managing," Aubrejuan said.
