Opsera releases new version of Opsview

To provide redesigned user interface and system management capabilities for monitoring data centres

By CBR Staff Writer

Opsera, a provider of open source software, has released Opsview Community version 3.5, an open source application, network and infrastructure monitoring software that provides a redesigned user interface and system management capabilities used to monitor the health of data centres.

The company said that Opsview provides centralised monitoring, shifting focus from fire-fighting to forward planning. Longer term monitoring of trends and service levels facilitates accurate capacity planning and budgeting, saving time and money.

According to Opsera, the new version provides capabilities such as extensible monitoring architecture supporting multiple sites and thousands of monitored devices; events driven status view with timeline for visual correlation; multilingual support; tools for migrating your data from other monitoring software; compatibility with Nagios plugins, agents and extensions.

In addition, the new version also offers capabilities such as performance and availability reporting; system architecture designed for customisation and ease of integration with other systems; and ability to monitor a range of network devices, operating and systems and application software, the company said.
