OpenText has announced a new platform to help ASP users capture and manage information in a workflow.

The information management specialist’s OpenText Business Center for SAP will help customers to streamline processes and reduce errors, and will provide a real-time view of operations.

The software extracts data directly from incoming documents to populate, validate and browse business objects in SAP software.

"With OpenText Business Center for SAP solutions, our customers will be able to streamline operations to be more efficient in their day-to-day business, freeing up much-needed resources to focus on their core value propositions and moving towards creating a truly digital enterprise," said Adam Howatson, chief marketing officer at OpenText.

The platform should help organisations process many types of incoming documents, including sales orders, delivery notes, purchase requisitions and HR applications.

OpenText Business Center for SAP will allow users to connect instantly with business partners through an electronic input channel.

Users will also be able to access and approve workflows on the go via an SAP mobile app.

The platform is designed to complement the firm’s existing software, including OpenText Vendor Invoice Management for SAP and OpenText Extended ECM for SAP.

OpenText Business Center for SAP is scheduled to be available from March 2015.
