Component Integration Laboratories Inc and the Object Management Group have teamed up to make OpenDoc conform with the Object Group’s Common Object Request Broker Architecture 1.2 specification. OpenDoc support for the Common Object Request Broker Architecture 2.0 specification, expected to be completed in the next few months, is also planned, says Component Integration Labs, a rival to the OpenDoc organisation and Microsoft Corp Object Linking & Embedding. To seal the deal, the two groups have exhanged corporate memberships. In addition, the Component Integration founders Apple Computer Inc, IBM Corp and WordPerfect Corp are also full corporate members of the Object Group. According to the agreement, each group is also totally committed to promoting each others standards.
