OPEN SOURCE WEB APP PLATFORM ZOPE IN PRE-RELEASE

Development is chugging along on an open source alternative to Allaire’s Cold Fusion. Digital Creations LC has announced that its Z Open Publishing Environment (Zope) 1.10 is in pre-release. Zope is a web application platform, the source code to which was made public last December with the full blessing of Digital Creations’ own venture capital partner, Verticality Investment Group (CI No 3,553). The new version fixes a few bugs and introduces DTML documents.
