Open source apps firm hires new CEO

LaVonne Reimer has joined the Portland, Oregon-based software vendor from the Open Technology Business Center, which was set up in January last year as an incubator for seed-stage open source vendors. Reimer has taken over from Compiere founder, Jorg Janke, who will now concentrate on product strategy and execution as chief technology officer.

Compiere offers integrated ERP and CRM software, as well as partner relations management, supply chain management, and online analytical processing, and has also introduced a new management dashboard for the combined Compiere ERP & CRM package.
