Cambridge, Massachusetts-based internet commerce software specialist Open Market Inc has brought out an enhanced version of its web publishing product which it gained through its acquisition of Folio Corp. SiteDirector 4.1 enables professional users to publish large amounts of information on the web and is expected to sell into the electronic publishing market as well as to the legal, insurance, finance and banking sectors. It is designed to maintain and deliver large amounts of web ready information from Folio Infobases – non-structured databases created by other Open Market software – into HTML. SiteDirector is due out by the year end and costs $4,995 for a 10 concurrent user license.
