Onyx Software Corp has upgraded its Customer Center sales force automation package to version 4.5, and launched a new set of web-based sales products under the eSelling brand name. The upgrade to Customer Center, which is the core element of Bellevue, Washington-based Onyx’s Front Office suite, adds forecasting, extended quoting and task management capabilities. It has been shipping since the last quarter.

The new eSelling products consist of Web Wizards for Sales, Onyx Channel Connect and Onyx EnCyc, and is said to allow users to extend and automate lead capture and prospect responses, and to link directly with customer records via the web. Web Wizards for Sales provides lead generation and qualification, Channel Connect is for the distribution of sales and lead information to channel partners via an extranet, and EnCyc is a marketing encyclopedia for accessing marketing and sales literature. The technology was acquired from EnCyc Inc in September last year (CI No 3,497).

Last quarter the company announced eService, its web-based service and support product. Both eService and eSelling work in conjunction with Customer Center and make up Front Office. Customer Center is priced at $2,400 per user.
