ONPATH Technologies, a provider of scalable connectivity and monitoring offerings for high-performance networks, has introduced its new HorizON software to provide network intelligence, user simplicity, and system security.

The company said that the new HorizON software provides remote control for high-performance connectivity and monitoring in conjunction with the UCS 2900 and 3900 products.

In addition, the software provides visibility and interactive network control for instantaneous path re-configuration, connectivity, monitoring, and troubleshooting for over 100,000 ports.

The software enables multiple applications, multiple speeds, and multiple protocols ranging from legacy WAN to 100G; and can automate or schedule connectivity tasks from network reconfiguration to passive monitor attachment.

ONPATH Technologies said that the new software provides an inherent alarming and dashboard views that enables connection manager to constantly view network status.

The HorizON control system includes a graphical dashboard that provides users with navigation between systems, system configuration and capacity, drill-down from the system to the port level, and tracking, reporting, troubleshooting, and scheduling.

HorizON is a Linux-based server software offering with a web-based thin client application, that facilitates in management of the family of UCS 2900 and 3900 switches from virtually any location.

The company said that HorizON software is available as an individual or redundant external server (or embedded server in the 3900 Series).

It’s authentication, authorisation, and accounting capabilities ensure that HorizON aligns with corporate infrastructure policies and provides secure remote CLI and GUI access with proper role-based control and auditing for up to 128 concurrent users.
