OneVu will utilize the web simulation to illustrate how the service will operate both generally and in terms of customer experience, through a comprehensive sales demonstration.

OneVu sees the move as an innovative step forward in electronic bill presentment processing (EBPP) which will allow consumers to keep informed of their bill progress through online banking.

Lloyds TSB and HSBC have been employed by OneVu to develop the service, which the company expects to become the major platform for online bill presentment and payment in the UK.

Martin Kearsley, chief executive of OneVu, stated that: With a sophisticated and rapidly growing population of online bank users seeking new innovative services while ‘at the bank’, a natural extension seems to be the ability to see bills as well as pay them. He added that the VeriSIM solution will provide an important element to the company’s new business campaign.

OneVu anticipates that a trial of the scheme will be implemented in February, with 15 billing firms joining Lloyds TSB and HSBC by the end of the year.
